PHP/SQL Developers (Job Code: bcs-jc-prog-20050709)
We are looking for bright, motivated PHP/SQL Developers (Job Code: bcs-jc-prog-20050709) to join our team in Ranchi. People in this role will be working within a small development team creating anything from simple content-managed websites to full scale B2B systems.Candidates should have:
- Experience in delivering scalable, efficient and modularised solutions, ideally for multiple clients.
- A graduate or engineering degree or a post gradute degree/diploma in a computer related discipline.
- Experience with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) or (Linux, Apache, MySQL and Perl).
- Extensive exposure to the full software development lifecycle and a thorough understanding of web security.
- Experience of developing in a test-driven environment
Essential skills for this role include:
- PHP – high
- Perl – intermediate
- SQL/MySQL – intermediate
- JavaScript/CSS/DHTML – high
- HTML/XHTML (hand coded) – high
- Familiarity with coding standards - high
Other skills desirable for the role include:
- C/C++/C++.NET
- Actionscript/Flash
- Dreamweaver/Fireworks MX
- Photoshop
- Apache
- Flair for design
Key Tasks:
- Design key elements of the software infrastructure for our business
- Understand, review and act on technical specifications for applications
- Development of applications in a scaleable, reliable, modular, and intrinsically secure manner, ensuring high quality and optimal performance
- Production of working prototypes as and when required
- Review peer development work and ensure it complies with the internal development coding standards
- Transfer knowledge to other team members of development work undertaken, including design, implementation and documentation
- The ability to work comfortably individually, and as part of a team, ensuring that all timelines are adhered to and communicated
- Work on major business opportunities in conjunction with other software engineers and technical architects
- Be able to explain technical concepts to senior management and external clients

Trainee Programmers /Part-timers (Job Code: bcs-jc-prog-20050718)
Multiple positions exist for Trainee Programmers / Part-timers. Students may also apply for these positions. People in this role will be assigned to work on various projects for commercial products as well as outside clients.Candidates should have:
- A graduate degree/3-year diploma, preferably in a computer related discipline. Students may also apply.
- Some development experience.
